Hello!

I wanted to share with you some cards I made for the Card Shower than Jennifer Mcguire is doing at her website. She asked to send happy cards to 2 kids that are battling cancer.  If you want to participate in the challenge and want more information, please click here.

I made to cards for my kids to write a message and send them to this wonderful kids, but my daughter Isabella really wanted to make one by herself so I have 3 cards to share.

My Daughter Isabella made this card, she is 5 years old.

For these cards I used the Tiny Heroes and Honey Bunny stamp sets by Mama Elephant, Copics Markers, Bazzill cardstock and lots of love!

Thank you for stopping by my blog.
Have a great day!

Christmas Cards

Hello everyone!

I have been very busy with my new job and the family for the last month, trying to adjust to the new work schedule, balancing family and other things going on.
Good thing that I have this week off and I can play with my goodies! (Woot, woot.)

I made two Christmas cards yesterday, I am participating in the Secret Santa at the Hero Arts Flickr group. I am going to send a little gift with a card to a person that I don't know and I haven't meet before. This is so exciting for me, I don't have crafty friends so this is an awesome opportunity for me to meet new people that share the same hobby.

These are the cards I made:

I'm not sure which one I'm going to send her yet! I hope she likes it!:)

For the cards I used Hero Arts Family and Friends Stamp set and Christmas messages stamp set.
Delicata pigment ink in gold, Hero Arts die inks, Bazzil card stock and Simon Says Stamp gold embossing powder.
I'm also participating in the Share Handmade Kindness at Jennifer McGuire's Blog

I hope you like the cards today.
Have a Happy Thanks Giving!

Hugs,

Magaly

Hello card made with Simon Says Stamp card kit!

Hello everyone!

I have been super busy at home and in my new job! I am sorry I have not posted any new project in my blog! I have been adapting at this new schedule with my family and it is great to be able to be back at the work force. (happy dance)

My SSS October card kit arrived this week and I was so excited about all the goodies that come in it and the bright colors of the pattern papers and card stock. It is really a good one folks!
Here is the link to the card kit.

For this card I used the pattern paper that comes in the kit, it is really beautiful.
The kit also comes with a Hello word die, I used it to die cut the word Hello with white cardstock.
I put some Wink of Stella and glossy accents to give it more interest.

At the bottom of the heart I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set that comes in the kit.

To finish the card I glued some sequins and put a golden bow on top of the heart and my card is done!
I hope you guys like the card and inspires you to make your own version!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great week! :)
See you soon!

Teacher card with Avery Elle stamp set!!!

Hello everyone!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I have a card I made a little while ago with Avery Elle's Little Minds stamp set.

Today is the first day of school for my kids and I have to admit, I'm a little sad, my youngest daughter is going to kindergarten, I am feeling emotional today. :(
For the past month, I have been applying for jobs. I had 2 interviews but so far no luck. :(
I want to be there for my family, pick the kids from school, help with homework, housework, etc. and also I feel I want to be back to the workforce and help the economy of my family. I was hopping to have a job when the kids went back to school.
I will keep looking, hopefully I find something soon! (keep me in your prayers)

In the meantime, I'm keeping busy making cards like this one!
I love to make cards for teachers, they really have an important role with kids and they do an amazing job!

I love this stamp set, the handwriting is gorgeous!
For the heart I stamped the heart with Versafine black ink and heat embossed it with Wow Embossing powder after that, I painted the heart with memento's Lady Bug dye ink.

I hope you like the card today!
Have a great and bless day!

Magaly

2 ways to color a die cut!

Hello,

Thank you for joining me today.

I bought this beautiful Kensington Branch die by Memory Box and I was thinking of ways to use it.
Looking around my craft room I found some gloss finish paper which you can paint with copics or any alcohol inks. I decided to use it with this project!
I cut the die on this gloss finish paper, I painted the die however I liked with my topic markers and glued on a white piece of paper. I used the border die Adorning Accents by Stampin' Up! to die cut the white paper and give it an interesting finish. After that I glued it onto my card base. Put some embellishments on the flowers and around the card. To finish the card, I used the sentiment from the Everyday Sayings stamp set by Hero Arts and I used some Ranger's Liquid Platinum Embossing powder to give it a gorgeous and elegant look.

I love the glossy paper look! It is so cute. The little bow is by Waffle Flower.

For the last card, instead of Gloss Finish paper I used some watercolor paper to cut the die and painted it with my awesome distress markers.
For the sentiment I used Altenew Label Love stamp set.

I think both cards are cute in their on way.
I hope you like the cards, thank you for stopping by my blog!
Have a great day.

Balloon Shaker card!

 Hello my friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday so far!
I'm back with a card I made with some Simon Says Stamp products.

I love shaker cards they make me smile, happy and shake them of course!
I die cut a piece of paper with the Balloon dies by simon says Stamp and the scallop die from the Femme Frames by Mama Elephant.

I painted the inside of the ballon with distress ink and stamp the sentiment that way you can see it through the window.

It is a simple card but so cute, I wanted to leave it all white that way the focus goes to the shaker part.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

New card! You fill my day with Sunshine!

Hello and happy Monday!

Summer is officially here and in Texas the days are hotter than ever! With the kids all day at home it is very hard to find the time to make cards. Do you guys have the same problem? :*
Anyhow, I wanted to share with you a card I made a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to make a sunny card very quick.
I painted with distress ink a piece of white cardstock, for the sky I used Broken China and for the grass I used Shabby Shutters. For the clouds I used Wendy Vecchi Embossing paste.

I cut a circle with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles and painted with distress ink Mustard seed using the blending tool.
For the sentiment, I used The Color and Sunshine stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
For the base paper I used the Femme Frames by Mama Elephant!

That's it for today I hope you enjoy the card.
I hope your days are full of sunshine and not to much heat this week!
Have a great day!

Thanks...Watercolor flower card with distress inks! and Thanks to all of you!

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having a great day today, enjoying the weather wherever you are.

I love distress inks for watercoloring images, they are easy to use and it comes in lots of colors.
I have the markers and some of the mini cubes, both work great for watercoloring!

I wanted to use a big flower stamp and thank God I have this one, is the Fresh Bloom by Stampendous it is very beautiful stamp! love it...I have to buy more big flower stamps!:)

This is the card I made:

I stamped the flower on watercolor paper with Ranger black Archival Ink, I watercolor the flower using my distress markers in the color Worn Lispstick, a little of Picked Raspberry and the middle of the flower with Mustard Seed. After it was dried I fussy cut it and put glossy accents in the center of the flower.

The Thanks word is from the Winnie and Walter stamp set The big the bold and the you, I stamped on vellum with versamark watermark and heat embossed it with Rangers Liquid Platinum, love this color, it is gorgeous!

For the background, I wanted to be simple and have the attention on the flower. I just used the embossing folder by Life Craft and embossed a piece of white cardstock. I glued all this to a top folding card base made with Bazzill Taffy cardstock.

I hope you guys like my card today and it inspires you to make a version of your own!:)

I want to thank you all so much for stopping by specially for leaving me a comment! It motivates me so much, you guys have no idea! Thank you.

Teacher card for the end of school year!

Hi there!

Here in Texas, the end of the school year is tomorrow for most of schools.
My kids will have their last day of school tomorrow and the beginning of summer vacations will start!

Teachers do so much for their students, they are in our kids life for most of the year and they do so much.
Every year I try to give them some gifts for the end of the year with a handmade card where my kids can write some words from their hearts. :)

Hola!

To make these two cards I used:

Hey Teacher stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
Teacher word dies by Simon Says Stamp.
Black cardstock by Recollections.
Bazzill Pepermint cardstock.
Apple die by Wplus9.
Trate Paper Farmhouse 6x6 Pad pattern paper.

I hope you like the card of today and inspires you to make your own version!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
Until next time.

Hugs,

Magaly

Magaly
